Lido degli Estensi
Lido degli Estensi is the most touristic location among the seven Lidi di Comacchio; they can be called also Ferraresi (from Ferrara). Its name comes from the Estense family, who ruled Ferrara for a long time.
Its shore is one of the longest in Italy, thanks to the sedimentation brought there by sirocco costal storms and the dam that separates Lido degli Estensi from Porto Garibaldi.
Lido degli Estensi is the most fashionable Lido and is very popular among young people: they come to beaches and outdoor venues every summer in their thousands, and take part in beach parties and events.
The town centre is just a short walk from the hotels and is famous for its boutiques and trendy spots along Carducci Boulevard.
Carducci Boulevard is the main street in Lido degli Estensi, but also the economic heart of the seven Lidi di Comacchio and the whole seaside tourism in Comacchio and in Emilia-Romagna.
